Your songs.
Not a repertoire list.

Live music for your ceremony and your Agape. Whatever four songs actually mean something to you — rebuilt for one guitar and one voice, for that room, on that day. In English, in German, or in both.

What you get

  • Four songs. Yours. Whatever they are — there is no list to choose from and nothing is off it.
  • Einzug, Ringtausch, Auszug, and a fourth wherever you want it.
  • A planning call beforehand, so nothing on the day is a surprise to either of us.
  • My own PA, and the sense to use it properly — a stone church and an open terrace are not the same problem.
  • Travel within 60 km of Vienna. Further is a question of cost, never of willingness.

Most acts hand you a repertoire — a house style, a few hundred songs to browse, their arrangements of them. That is a sensible way to run a business and it is not what this is. You choose the songs because they are already yours; my job is to make them work in a room with no drums, no band and everyone watching.

What it costs

Ceremony
from €890

Four songs, the planning call, PA and travel within 60 km. Roughly 30–45 minutes of music, and a full day of my calendar.

Ceremony + Agape
from €1,390

The above, plus 60–90 minutes through the Sektempfang — the part your guests actually talk in, and the part most couples underestimate.

Full day
from €1,890

Ceremony, Agape and a set through dinner. One musician across the whole day, so nothing has to be re-explained to anyone.

  • Additional song — €120
  • Attendance at a rehearsal — €150
  • Beyond 60 km — €0.50 per km
  • If the venue makes an overnight stay necessary, I will raise it with you before you book — never afterwards.

All prices are final and include any statutory VAT. Half on booking, the remainder in the week before the wedding.

Nothing goes wrong

Thousands of shows across more than twenty years, weddings among them. A ceremony that starts twenty minutes late is not an emergency. It is a Tuesday.

I do not read from a chart. I learned by listening and I play by ear, which means I am not looking down at paper during your ceremony — I am watching the room. If a moment takes longer than anyone planned, the music takes longer with it. Nothing stops, nothing has to be started again, and nobody has to look at me to find out what happens next.

That is what a Trauredner:in means when they say they need a musician who will not take the ceremony apart.

In whichever language the day is in

A whole ceremony in English, a whole one in German, or the two woven together. I am Irish, I have lived in Vienna for ten years, and I have done all three.

If you were brought here by the UN, the OSCE, the IAEA, an embassy or a company — or you are marrying in Austria and coming from somewhere else entirely — you already know the problem. Finding someone who can carry an English ceremony is hard. Finding someone who can carry it and still knows exactly how an Austrian Trauung and Agape actually run is harder. That is most of what I do.

You are booking a person

Not a collective, not a roster, not a brand that assigns you someone once you have paid a deposit. Whoever you hear before you book is who is standing there on the day, and that has been true for twenty years.

What that buys you is judgement. Songs are my actual profession — I write them for other artists and release my own — so when your song has to survive being stripped to one guitar and one voice in a room with a two-second reverb and ninety people holding their breath, someone is making that decision on purpose.

Songs I have written are played on Ö3, FM4 and stations well past Austria. There is an hour of my own voice online, so you do not have to take a word of this on trust — listen first.

Where

Vienna is home, and most of the work is in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. But I have played weddings in Salzburg and I will come to wherever you are getting married — in Austria or well outside it.

Distance is a matter of cost and time, never of willingness. Ask, and you will get a straight number.

Dates

There is one of me, and a wedding takes the whole day. Saturdays in June and September go first, and couples marrying in summer have usually asked by the previous autumn. If you have a date, say so early — even if everything else is still undecided.

Tell me about the day

The date, the place, the language, and the songs if you already know them. If you do not know them yet, that is normal — most couples find them on the planning call.
